The Alumni Association provided the following grants on campus in 2016:
MESA (engineering) $500 Arduino computers for prosthetic arm program
Yearbook $1200 convention costs (18 students)
Stagg Line $750 convention costs (partial hotel costs for 8)
French Club $850 bus costs—Monterrey Language Institute trip
Gay Straight alliance $200 lunches for Harvey Milk museum visit (SF)
Music department $1000 music festival (see description below)
The Alumni Association is working with Stagg’s teachers and staff to expand the number and reach of programs which can use our resources to enrich the educational opportunities at Stagg.
Plan to join us for the 4th annual Alumni Tailgate Party at the football stadium on campus, Friday, September 16, when the Varsity and J.V. teams play Lodi. This event is sponsored by Chase Chevrolet. Come for the food and connections, stay for the game. Football admission is charged at the gate.

The Alumni Association Board meets monthly eleven times a year. You are welcome to attend—contact President Stewart Jacoby at firstname.lastname@example.org. Ask about joining the Board and becoming more involved.
The Alumni Board is careful with your contributions; virtually every cent given goes to campus programs. Board members often fund operating costs out of their own pockets. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization; your contributions are tax deductible.

What follows is an end of year report on the Association’s work, and a snapshot of the accomplishments of Stagg students over the past year, to reconnect you to the life of our school. Stagg’s students deserve your support.
Stagg’s 2016 graduating class:
Stagg graduated 273 seniors on May 31—a 90% graduation rate. Of these, 110 were “UC Ready”, having completed all heightened requirements for acceptance to a UC or CSU program. Eighty were accepted to CSU/UC campuses; 150 have registered for fall classes at Delta College, most in the college prep track; 10 students have signed up for military service. Stagg graduates will be matriculating at Stanford University, UOP, UCLA, Cal Berkeley, Davis and other campuses. Scholarship offers to this year’s graduates totaled nearly $290,000.
Two of six scholarships awarded by the California Retired Teachers Association in San Joaquin County to “aspiring teachers” went to Stagg students. One student has been named to UOP’s Community Involvement Program (CIP), which provides full scholarship support for four years.
